I have lived in Harlem for 10 years and although we may have soul food, amazing architecture and some great gospel music, we have something no other neighborhood in Manhattan has- Tumble Weave.
It can be found rolling down sidewalks, clogging up drains and skeeting down the subway stairs.
No matter how bad your day is, when a tumble weave twirls by with some glitter, old leaves or an eyelash thrown in, it's simply un-be-weavably amusing.

Fergus Finds his Third Tumble
I'm sure from afar this braided little number looked like a raw hide chew stick in Fergus' eyes. He was disappointed when it turned out to be yet another tumble. But daddy was awfully happy.
